Rotondi shirt finishing equipment

A complete shirt line, from collar and cuff underpressing through body finishing to automatic folding. Built for the operations where shirts are the volume item and pressing is the bottleneck.

Rotondi Group shirt finishing equipment is supplied and supported in South Africa by Universe Corp.

Rotondi Group manufactures entirely in Italy. Universe Corp is the authorised South African distributor, which means the warranty is real, the parts are genuine and the installation is done by our own technicians.

The range

What Rotondi makes for this

  • Collar and cuff underpressing

The details a customer inspects first. Dedicated presses that finish collars and cuffs to a consistent standard rather than leaving them to a hand touch-up that varies by operator and by hour of the shift.

    • Collar and cuff presses
    • Consistent finish across a full shift
    • Pairs with a body finisher
  • Body pressing and shirt finishers

The machine that breaks the bottleneck. A damp shirt goes onto a body form, is tensioned, then steamed and dried in one cycle so it comes off pressed and in shape with no soleplate touching the fabric.

    • Steam and hot air in one cycle
    • Repeatable across operators
    • Sized for shop through to plant volume
  • Sleeve vent and placket folding

Folding equipment for the sleeve vent and placket, where hand work is slow and the result is inconsistent.

  • Shirt folding machines

Automatic folding for retail-ready packaging, holding folding quality at speed for commercial laundries and garment production.

  • Fusing line equipment

Continuous fusing for collar, cuff and front panel interlining. Precision heat and pressure for permanent bonding in shirt manufacturing.

  • Spare parts and service

Genuine Rotondi parts held in Wynberg, so a shirt line that stops does not wait on Italy.

Questions

Answers before you enquire

Where does a shirt line usually bottleneck?
At body pressing, almost always. Collars and cuffs are quick; the body is where a hand press ties up an operator for minutes a garment. A body finisher tensions the shirt on a form and steams and dries it in one cycle, which is what moves the whole line.
What order should I buy this equipment in?
Usually the body finisher first, because that is the constraint, then collar and cuff presses to hold the detail standard, then folding once volume justifies it. But it depends on your daily shirt count and what you press now — tell us both and we will sequence it with you.
Will a body finisher give a consistent result across operators?
That is most of the reason to buy one. The cycle is the same every time, so the finish does not vary by operator or by hour of the shift the way a hand touch-up does.
Do you hold parts locally?
Yes. Genuine Rotondi parts are held in Wynberg, so a shirt line that stops does not wait on Italy.
