In what order to buy
A proper ironing station first, a vacuum ironing table with a good iron, because it remains the quality backstop and the touch-up station beside any finisher. The shirt finisher when the shirt count justifies it. A form finisher and trouser topper after that, if suits are pressed at volume.
Steam is the constraint
A finisher consumes steam continuously, so confirm the boiler has the headroom before the machine arrives, not after. Undersizing there starves the whole floor at the moment it is busiest.

- How does a shirt finisher work?
- The damp shirt goes onto a body form, the machine tensions it, and steam then heated air is driven through the fabric. Steam relaxes the fibres, tension holds them smooth, hot air dries them in that state. The shirt is pressed and dried in one cycle, in shape, with nothing touching the cloth.
- When does the volume justify one?
