Why they matter more than they look
A solenoid valve is a small, inexpensive component that stops an expensive machine completely. The symptom is almost never "the valve has failed". It is a press that will not fire, a boiler that will not fill, a cycle that stalls halfway, or a drain that will not clear. - How do I know it is the valve?
- A solenoid that has failed usually still clicks. Test for flow rather than for the click, and check the coil against its rating. If in doubt, tell us the symptom and the machine and we will narrow it down.
