Girbau HS Series High-Speed Washer-Extractors

The HS Series is Girbau's high-speed softmount range, and the machine to specify when the volume is large and the building will not take an anchored one. It spans 18 to 110 kg — the widest capacity range Unicorp supplies — which makes it the usual answer for a central laundry, a large hotel plant or a hospital processing its own linen.

Water, which in South Africa is the point

Aquafall cascades and recirculates rinse water rather than drawing fresh for every phase, and Girbau puts the saving at up to 59% a cycle. Against rising municipal tariffs and real scarcity, that is a running-cost line rather than a brochure figure. The 400G extraction then takes the drying energy down on the other side.

Where it differs from the RM Series

The RM Series is hardmount, 10 to 30 kg, 80 to 200G, and cheaper to install because there is no suspension system to pay for. The HS is the choice when the floor cannot be anchored, the building is not on the ground, or the throughput justifies the higher extraction. Two extraction classes, one decision — and it is usually the building that makes it.

Healthcare

HS machines are available in a barrier, dual-door configuration: soiled linen in one side, clean linen out the other, with the two zones physically separated. That separation is the equipment prerequisite for an RABC-compliant laundry under EN 14065 — see equipment for healthcare.
