The SY Series is the softmount half of the Speed Queen range. Where the SC Series bolts to a reinforced concrete slab, the SY hangs on its own suspension and needs no floor anchoring at all — which is what makes it the answer for an upper floor, a retrofit into a building that was never a laundry, or any site where the slab cannot take an anchored machine.
What the extraction speed buys you
400G against a hardmount's 200G is not a specification for its own sake. Every percentage point of water removed mechanically is drying time and electricity you do not spend afterwards, and in a line where the dryer is usually the bottleneck, that is where the throughput comes from. Controls and protection
QED Select carries 99 programmes, so a laundry running guest linen, staff uniforms and kitchen cloths can hold a settled cycle for each rather than compromising on one. Water Guardian watches the fill and shuts the machine down on an abnormal level, which is the failure that floods a plant room.
