Thermal receipt paper rolls

A counter that prints a ticket goes through receipt rolls faster than it goes through anything else on this page, and the wrong roll is the sort of thing that stops a shop mid-morning. Two widths cover almost all of it: 3 1/8 inches for the till printer and 2 1/4 inches for the card terminal.

Paper weight decides how the roll behaves rather than how it prints. The heavier 80 GSM stock feeds and tears more predictably and holds up in a busy counter drawer; the lighter 55 and 48 GSM rolls put more length on the same spool, which is why the 55 GSM roll runs to 230 feet where the 80 GSM runs to 160.

All of it is BPA-free. Back-printed stock puts a message on the reverse of the receipt, which is where a shop can print its hanger return request or its turnaround promise without paying for a separate handout.
