Indelibond is the reason a dry cleaning ribbon is not an ordinary office ribbon. The ink is formulated to stay legible on a tag that will go through solvent, steam and heat, where a standard ribbon fades or lifts. A tag printed with the wrong ribbon reads perfectly at the counter and is unreadable at assembly.
The ribbons here cover the impact printers most commonly found on a dry cleaning counter, listed by the printer they fit rather than by part number, because that is how a shop knows what it needs. Epson, Star and Citizen ribbons come six to the box; Okidata is sold singly.
The Zebra and Eltron TLP-2824 takes a thermal transfer ribbon rather than an impact one, and is the printer most often paired with Thermopatch label stock.
