Roll lot dry cleaning tags

A roll lot tag carries one number for a whole ticket. Every garment in the order gets a tag from the same number, so the counter writes the number once and the assembly bench matches on it rather than on a name. That suits a shop taking large drop-offs, hotel bags, or uniform pools where the pieces stay together through the plant and there is no reason to identify them individually.

It is the opposite trade to a piece tag, which numbers each garment separately and is the better answer when a single ticket mixes fabrics, services or turnaround times.

Rolls come blank for a shop that writes or prints its own detail, and pre-printed with "Rush", "Hold" and "Repair" where the tag itself has to carry the instruction. Colour is the other axis: solid, stripe and multi-colour rolls let a plant separate days of the week, branches or delivery routes without reading a number.
